    My beautiful friend Barb deserves a special place on my feed. She thought she was teaching me to knit many years ago, but she really changed my life forever. She gave me community. . Barb left us this week. It took me by surprise and grief came swiftly. I am so grateful I had the chance to catch up with her a few months ago. She was one of those friends that made you feel like no time had passed between you. . I love you, Barb! You made a difference to so many. ❤️
    The last 2 pieces of my yoga capsule! The #mirapattern and #edenpattern from @madeformermaids. This brings the total of mix and match pieces to 10 - 5 tops, 4 bottoms, and a pullover. . If you know me, you likely remember that I have a lot of back and hip issues. I can see them manifesting in so many of these pictures. I am in pain every minute of the day. Yoga helps me with pain management. I may never be good at it, but it keeps me mobile. I am so grateful for what my body can do. .     The next two pieces of my #capsulecollection are both from the @madeformermaids #tinsleypattern. I had every intention of making the tennis dress with separate shorties, but I didn’t make any adjustments for my height. It was just a wee bit shorter than I’d like. . I made the longline top with a built-in shelf bra and the 4” shorties. Super happy with the fit of both pieces. . Fabric is Max Peached Performance from @surgefabricshop.     My third fall activewear capsule piece is the @madeformermaids #feyrepattern. It’s the perfect popover for chilly mornings! . I used cotton French terry from @waymaker_fabrics, again in the fall fairy flowers print. It renders a bit lighter due to the fiber content. It’s different than most 100% cotton FT because it’s made as a circular knit!     I placed my first order from @waymaker_fabrics earlier this year. I don’t usually order custom prints, but there was one that caught my attention. I had it printed in CL and was SO IMPRESSED by the print quality and fabric when I received my order. And it’s continued to look great even after washing and wearing for months. . I was eager to try the athletic knit when Round 6 was announced. Once again, I was totally blown away by the print quality when I opened my order. It rivals any #rtw garments in my wardrobe. Peep those colors!! And this fabric is totally opaque! . This print is now the cornerstone of my fall yoga capsule. More to come on that. .     August is always a tough month for me. I think it’s the heat. I try to give myself a lot of grace throughout the month. I found a lot of peace in making over the last few weeks.
